Review 543: Meet Me in St. Louis
Meet Me in St. Louis is lovely, wholesome and overall just a wonderful musical film that an absolute must-see for all families.
Based on the book Meet Me in St. Louis by Sally Benson. Told in a series of seasonal vignettes, the film follows a year in the life of the Smith family in St. Louis
Director Vincent Minnelli brings all the warmth and emotion required to make this film a resounding success.
The film was shot using three strip technicolor and it shows, visually this film is just a feast for the eyes.
Aside from Judy Garland, little Margaret O'Brien is easily the MVP of this film playing "Tootie"
