Mare of Easttown Compassion, Mercy and helping your community - it shows us the dark side of a close community and an authentic examination of how family and past tradgedies can define our present.
What's beautiful and gripping about Mare of Easttown is that it isn't just a straightforward det./mystery story about a crime and the whodunit; It's about the families and
Mare is a persistant detective who cares about the people in this Philadelphia community even though she doesn't admit it A remarkably stoic, brave woman who's dealing with all the elements of family life, struggle, greif and trying to do her best as a mother to her daughter Siobhan (Angourie Rice), a young grandmother to her young grandson Drew and as a woman to a community that look to her so often for answers.
