Review 607: All The President's Men
All The President's Men is a fascinatingly, intriguing and reviting biographical political drama by smart writing and two fantastic performances by Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford.
Based on the non-fiction book All The President's Men by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, In June 1972, The Washington Post reporters Carl Bernstein (Dustin Hoffman) and Bob Woodward (Robert Redford) investigate the break-in at the Watergate Office Building and the resultant political scandal for the Post.
It provides the most painstainkinly and open-eye study of investigative journalism that has been put to film. Because the Watergate had taken place very recently, this was a very culturally relevent film.
Director Alan J. Pakula's direction is the score by David Shire is
Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford are outstanding in this film
